Where Lightshot is still the better fit
If you want a public link for every screenshot in one click, Lightshot does that and Glintshot deliberately doesn’t. Lightshot is also completely free, and its similar-image search has no equivalent here.
Moving over
- Quit Lightshot, or change its shortcut, so the keys are free.
- Install Glintshot and open it. Region capture is already on PrtSc (Windows and Linux) or ⌘ ⇧ 9 (Mac).
- Drag, mark it up, and let go: it’s on your clipboard, as before.
Window capture is Alt + PrtSc (⌘ ⇧ 1) and full screen is Shift + PrtSc (⌘ ⇧ 2). More in Moving from Lightshot.

Questions
Can I run both while I try it?
Yes, but only one app can own a shortcut. Quit Lightshot or change its shortcut first, or give Glintshot different keys in Settings › Shortcuts.
Where are the share links?
Glintshot doesn’t upload your screenshots to a public link. Every capture is copied the moment you let go, so you paste it where it’s going: a chat, a ticket, an email. Send to opens an AI app with it, and Share opens X, LinkedIn or Reddit, or your system’s share options.
Is Glintshot made by the makers of Lightshot?
No. Glintshot is made by Kubicl Technologies and isn’t affiliated with Lightshot or its makers.
