Four ways to capture a page
| Mode | What it captures | Free |
|---|---|---|
| Region | The part of the page you drag over | Unlimited |
| Visible | Everything in view | Unlimited |
| Full page | The whole page, top to bottom, up to 16,000 pixels, with sticky headers shown once | Unlimited |
| Element | One element you click, such as a card, a table or a chart, even when it’s taller than the window | Unlimited |
Every mode is free with no daily limit. A Pro licence from the desktop app works here too.
Full-page screenshots that come out right
The extension scrolls the page one view at a time and stitches the result. After the first view it hides headers and bars that stick to the top or bottom, so they don’t repeat down the image, then puts the page back the way it was.
Then mark it up
Every capture can open in the editor tab, with the same eight tools as the desktop app: arrow, line, rectangle, pen, text, highlighter, blur and numbered steps. Copy it or download it from there, or skip the editor and copy or download straight away.
Private by default
Captures stay in your browser while the editor tab is open and are deleted when it closes. The only request the extension makes is the Pro licence check, and only if you activate Pro. Details on the privacy page.
Questions
Which browsers does it run in?
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and other Chromium browsers, and Firefox 128 or later.
Can it read my browsing?
No. It asks for the active tab permission only, so it can see a page just when you click its button or press its shortcut. It has no analytics and uploads no capture.
Do I need the desktop app?
No, the extension works on its own. A Glintshot Pro licence covers both: each browser with the extension counts as one of its 3 places.
