Free tool

Annotate a screenshot online

Add arrows, boxes, text, highlights, blur and numbered steps, then copy or download it. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Paste a screenshot (Ctrl V or ⌘ V), drop an image on the page, or choose a file.
  2. Pick a tool: arrow, line, rectangle, pen, text, highlighter, blur or numbered steps. Each has a key: A, L, R, P, T, H, B and N.
  3. Change the colour and width, undo and redo as you go.
  4. Copy it to paste somewhere, or download it as a PNG.

Every screenshot, without the extra step

The Glintshot app puts this editor on a shortcut: press a key, drag over anything, mark it up, and it’s on your clipboard. It also copies text out of screenshots, blurs emails and API keys on its own, and sends captures to your AI app. For Mac, Windows and Linux, free for everyday use.

Questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. The image is opened, drawn on and exported in this page, in your browser. It never reaches our server or anyone else’s, and it’s gone when you close the tab.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit.

Can it find and blur emails and keys for me?

Not here: finding them means reading the text, which the Glintshot app does on your computer with Auto-redact. In this page, use the Blur tool on whatever you want hidden.
